Re: Windows 10

I don't like any of that stuff either but the good thing is, you can turn it all off. Just be sure to customize your settings when you're installing instead of hitting express (though you can still go back into the privacy settings etc once you're in, just incase you missed something). First thing ...

I'm holding off too, seeing how this "send everything, from files to keystrokes, to MS" thing plays out...

Re: Seriously?

Those of us with tags in our names on XBL are still flying SSX, because MS would want paying to change it.

Board not setting cookies

See screenshot. Permission set to allow it to store cookies, it's just not. Happening in both IE and FF.

*edit* That's the .com domain. .org domain seems to be working.

Re: My duino? Your duino? Arduino!

I picked up a starter pack on Amazon for about £30, bunch of LEDs, resisters, buttons, a servo, a stepper motor and controller board, and an Arduino UNO R3 clone. I've since ordered 600 more resisters (it was about £3!), 50 RGB LEDs (again, £3), some shift registers, transisters, battery cases, swit...

My duino? Your duino? Arduino!

Anyone else? Got mine last week, bit tricky getting a chance to do anything with it - been largely research so far, tho did get a servo shifting to a set position when you press a button and have lit some LEDs and stuff - hoping to ultimately run a bunch of servos off it for some basic animatronics....

TSS just makes me think "toxic shock syndrome"... Icky. If we really have to do this whole name changey thing, then SSC.

eXiles Origins

How'd you end up here? Do you remember getting recruited? Or did you get curious and seek us out? I was flying in Freespace 2 when Blackdove prodded me and suggested I check out the SSC site, so I did, ended up talking with Inquisitor in IRC. Didn't take long 'til I put on the tags and started flyin...

Re: Our Community

I vote no. Our name is our history. I like our name. Plus, frankly, my XBL Gamertag has SSX in it, and it'll cost me money to change it, so even just from a practical point of view, no. That said, I can understand the views of others on here, and frankly I don't have the time or energy to wall-of-te...

Happy anniversary (and birthday) indeed! :) Amazing to think we've been going 10 years now, and even longer if you count the SSC years too. I've always said, and always will say, I'm so happy that fate brought me here all those years ago - love you guys to death, and I couldn't have asked for a bet...

Probably the main problem for me, coz if I was going to play TES multiplayer, I'd want it to be multiplayer MW, O or Skyrim :clown:

Re: ESO, who's going to be down with it?

Read a preview thingy on Ars, really put me off - it seems the freedom, that one delicious helping of Win Pie that made TES, has vanished in a WoW-esque zoning setup with fixed-level mobs.

Probably just as well, I shouldn't go getting addicted to a new version of TES...
