Well, my pc is on fire or something... thats what my firewall keeps telling me :nervous:

...either this, or i managed to catch a very persistent worm & cant even get rid of the bugger with a complete tabula raza (it seems to copy itself into the registry).

...that said, i wont be able to make it for tonights MC run & until i figured out how to deal with this sneaky bastard (poke him with a sharp stick in the eye?) i wont be online.

...i know my technical knowledge is overwhelming

cya as soon as i can folks!

Right click my computer and go to system restore.. Disable it.. Restart Enable it again.. Should remove it from the registry.. I think.. I would get some verification.. I rarely have any viruses and ive never had a worm. ;(
No.. I didn't know about the set when I made the character! :|

The best Antivirus EVER is free.

Avast!

Not only is it the best-ever free AV protection (I've had Norton for 5 years, newest editions, switched to this a few months ago, way better), you also get the added bonus of using a software that's named after PIRATE SPEAK YARR!

Stuff I have running all the time.
Script blocking:
- Scan scripts in IE and Shell
- Scan scripts in Netscape
- Scan scripts in Mozilla

Internet Mail:
- Scan outbound mail [SMTP]
- Scan inbound mail [POP3]
- Scan inbound mail [IMAP]
- Scan inbound news [NNTP]
- Scan outbound news [NNTP]
- Heuristic sensitivity: high

Instant Messengers:
- MSN Messenger
- ICQ
- Trillian Messenger

Network Shield:
- Show messages

Outlook:
- Scan inbound and outbound mail
- Scan all messages on open
- Heuristic sensitivity: high

P2P Shield:
- Kazaa & KazaaLite
- Direct Connect
- Direct Connect++

Filesystem:
- Scan all files on write
- Scan selected files on open

Web Shield:
- Scan HTTP traffic
My computer is crappy, I don't even notice it working unless it's updating.
