how can that be? i thought even klingons have something like a brain and a tiny fraction of intelligence.

If we're really going to look at it, it probably makes him potentially the smartest guy in the room.

However, to practically voice it out loud where 99.9% of the people won't understand the analogy or reference shows to some screws being loose.

Actually, BD, in the states at least, Star Trek has become reasonably mainstream (and it only took thirty years!). Not to the point where you can quote obscure lines and expect people to get the reference, but I wouldn't be surprised if a majority of people you talked to on this side of the Atlantic understood the basic premise behind Vulcans and Klingons.

I tend to agree. I work at a middle school - a lot of people here are clueless to a geek's world, but quote Star Trek character references and they'll catch on 99% of the time.

I've got a picture on my door of Data & The Doctor from VOY that states "Is your problem Hardware or Software?" and of all the teachers here, all but one of them has laughed at it. The other one just didn't understand it... :smack:

I like the clip though. :thumb:
