Couple of other good deals as well today; Arkham Asylum for 115 and Kane & Lynch 2 for 113.

Grabbed the latter since I haven't played that yet and didn't want to pay much for it. 115 for Arkham is a great deal too but I decided to pass incase any other games come along which I want but haven't played.
Hoping for KOTOR1 as it's only 6.99 as it is and would be pittance in the sale lol.

Bought Defense Grid a few months ago on a whim. Ends up its the best tower defense game I've played and its sucked up scores of hours of my time.
Now its $2.50. Definite worth a look.

Got this for just 111.75! :D
(Also Monkey Island 2 SE for the same)

Hopefully we'll get some even better sales at Christmas :)
I'd have bought Splinter Cell as well if it didn't still use Ubi's DRM. Oh well.

I should have bought Arkham instead of Kane & Lynch 2 too. Didn't plan on replaying it until City is released next year but K&L2 was very disappointing and I can't see myself replaying it tbh. Despite its problems I quite enjoyed the first game but this one..... I'm just glad I only payed a few quid for it and didn't buy a boxed copy on release hehe.
Nevermind. Arkham is sure to be included in the Christmas holiday sale in a few weeks, will have to grab that then!

I played Arkham two weeks ago with maxed graphics and PhysX.

The game is something to behold. The console version doesn't do it justice.

Metro 2033 & Just Cause 2 for 114.99 today.

Wasn't fond of the first JC game but considering buying the second since it's supposed to be much better and tis cheap. Has nothing at all to do with an Island, a scripted plane crash and a hatch. :)

Metro was pretty damn good tbh. Nothing phenomenal and I do prefer S.T.A.L.K.E.R. but at 4.99 it's well worth buying imo and is one of the best benchmarking games there is. Very atmospheric and the Russian dialogue option with English subs is a great addition.

Oooh, I missed that. I thought they did a damn good job with the English subs anyway, but what does an American know about Russian accents?
I was planning on replaying it to get the good ending, and will have to give the sub'd version a shot.
Agree with you about the game, but having not played Stalker yet I can't say how they compare. The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic, and the stealth in the game works quite well; I might try a harder setting with the stealth suit as well. The throwing knives alone were my favorite weapon vs. human combatants throughout the game.

I completely hosed myself in my first playthrough though - I accidentally switched out to the "shiny" 4.45 ammo (the in-game currency) in my SMG instead of the "dirty rounds" and proceeded to quite literally gun for broke. By the time I had realized, it was far too along to just start reloading autosave points to figure out where I had made the switch.

Great fun with Metro though.

The game itself is pretty damn good so far, though admittedly I'm not that far in.

Sigh. I need a new vid card and lower response time monitor (using a 42" HDTV).

It's like I've got an anchor weighed down to my gun... My turning is just so delayed with input lag.

Anyone who's a fan of RPGs and either hasn't played or doesn't already own The Witcher should buy that during steams daily deal today. Just 113.25 which is a bargain for such an incredible game and one of the best RPGs ever created, imo. (Also have a save ready for The Witcher 2 in May ^^) :thumb:
