So this rumor was actually true? I predict this will be the "Modern Warfare 2" of the series, where the hype dies down and the franchise earns the disdain of the "hardcore" fans.

I suppose we should expect a big focus on naval battles in Black Flag which is a-ok with me! :D
As long as they can keep maintaining the quality I don't mind them releasing new games in the series as often as they have been doing really. So far they have managed to do that just fine imo but minute it starts to drop below that level they should take a break from the series and then come back and blow us away. Can't get enough of AC myself though so I'll be looking forward to hearing lots more details on this.

On another subject, Deep Silver have just announced a release date for Metro: Last light ^^
May 14th for US, 17th for EU.
Also Beyond: Two Souls for Oct 8th - http://www.vg247.com/2013/03/01/beyond- ... llen-page/ :thumb:

Only one more week to go for the worldwide release of Bioshock Infinite. One of my most anticipated titles of the last couple of years I would say!
Lots more of you getting it I hope? :D

Also surprised to see not even one post for Heart of the Swarm since its release last week? It did release last week right?, or was it delayed or something?. Wasn't interested in it myself but some of you were crazy about the whole SC scene not so long ago, did none of you buy it?

HOTS has released, yep, and I'll be playing it relatively soon :)

Not, however, until I finish FF13 and possibly clear a bit more of the backlog I have atm. Got so much waiting for me I don't want to buy anything else until I'm ready to play it!

Believe me, I shall post about it when I get to it I am sure :D

Pity. You're likely missing out on an incredible game here I reckon, Infinite will be GOTY material for sure I would think.
To each his own and all that :)

Hope Dishonored is one of those! :D
Also kk mate. Let me know how you find the single player campaign when you get to it if you will please. When it eventually comes down in price I may consider buying it just for that if you think it's worth it, otherwise I'm not really fussed.

Also I think I posted about this deal before but they have since added to it..

Copy of Bioshock Infinite;
+ Free copy of the original Bioshock
+ Free copy of XCOM: Enemy Unknown
+ Free copy of either Mafia II, Bioshock 2, Civilization V, The Darkness II or Spec Ops: The Line
£23.99 from GMG.

Pretty amazing deal there if you don't already own some of those titles. Especially for the price and for what is likely to be one of the best game releases of this year :thumb:

Anyone still want to skip this?. Infinite will be one of the best releases of the year just like I said and with a metacritic score like that it's going to go down as one of the highest rated games of all time by the looks of it. It is still £23.99 on GMG with 3 free games (and I believe the US gets $15 cashback too?). You won't find a better deal than that even when it has come down in price, gogogo!. Don't be a fool now ;D

Sorry, but I'm afraid so ;)

Bioshock as a franchise holds no interest to me whatsoever. Just not my kind of game. Hope you enjoy though!

Didn't like the narration much but that's still a sweet trailer! (Is that Finchy from The Office? lol)
Just seen this btw:

mmm. Me likes.
I'd definitely go with the official Ubi store again. They handled my AC3 pre-order perfectly.

There's these too:

Some nice editions there.

Oh and Bioshock Infinite is now one of the joint top 5 in the all-time PC top scores on metacritic with a critic score of 96 and user score of 9.2. That's the same as Half-Life 2. Pretty amazing I think.
Now where is my <censored> copy? It was dispatched on Thursday goddamn :smack:  :shake: [Edit: Arrived!!]

Got Bioshock and only a couple of hours into it, but I've been enjoying it so far. I can only find one criticism with it: autosaves. It wouldn't be so bad if autosaves were separate files as many other games handle it. Sadly, not the case here.

For instance, killing a miniboss that drops a specific vigor that either didn't drop it, or, due to clipping issues, it fell through the ground. Load last checkpoint? Nope, the game autosaved the second after you killed the bastard. I get how quick save can pull you out of the experience, but so can having to replay an entire chapter because of a bug. Argh.

That's my mini-rant.

Back to trying to ignore that feature and enjoying the rest of the game!

This is still one of my GOTY contenders for 2013 but after BioShock Infinite... That is going to take some beating.

Just a heads up to those of you who played Dishonored - The story based DLC "The Knife of Dunwall" featuring Daud is out tomorrow.
and looks pretty awesome indeed!
It is priced at £7.99/$9.99 (no idea about consoles) but if you buy it over on GMG you can knock 20% off that with "GMG20-GGN5D-FC3NA" :thumb:

This will be part 1 of a two-part story DLC from what I understand, with "The Brigmore Witches" coming later this year too.
Looking forward to getting back in there :)

Apparently the game which Bethesda has been teasing this week is Shinji Mikami's Project Zwei, the creator of Resident Evil.
Should be officially revealed today ^^

aye you're right. Was hoping it would be 2013 when I first added it to my list. Will have to move that over to my 2014 list when I make one!

So, Project Zwei is - The Evil Within
Press Release wrote:BETHESDA SOFTWORKS ANNOUNCES THE EVIL WITHIN

New Survival Horror Game from Master of the Genre

April 19, 2013 (London, UK) – Bethesda Softworks®, a ZeniMax® Media company, today announced the planned release of The Evil Within™, a survival horror game developed at Tango Gameworks™ under the direction of renowned game designer and studio head, Shinji Mikami. Best known as the father of the survival horror genre and creator of the Resident Evil series, Mikami is a 20-year veteran of the industry who has developed numerous award-winning titles. The official announcement trailer can be viewed today at IGN.com.

The Evil Within, in development for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, the PC, and next generation consoles, is slated for release in 2014. On Monday, April 22nd additional information about The Evil Within will be revealed in an exclusive feature story at IGN.com.

“We’re incredibly proud to announce The Evil Within,” said Mikami. “My team and I are committed to creating an exciting new franchise, providing fans the perfect blend of horror and action.”
Teaser trailer can be seen over here. They're taking youtube clips down so can't embed one of those atm.

Must say I am very excited to see a return to what used to be my favourite video game genre once upon a time; true survival horror. There have been odd titles like Amnesia which pulled it off well but the genre has been severely lacking for many years now. If anyone can bring them back to how they used to be in the days of classic Resident Evil and Silent Hill I'd trust Mikami.
Bring it on.

Michael looks like an interesting fellow but as a massive fan of The Sopranos he reminds me heavily of Tony. He's gotta be one of the main inspirations behind this character tbh and that's pretty cool if so, and could make him all the more fun to play and explore in the game.. I just hope his part of the story and characteristics aren't all total rip off of when it comes down to it....
Will reserve judgement on Franklin for the time being.
Trevor looks <censored> hilarious :D

I still loved GTAIV but it looks again like the fun, less serious GTA is back with some colourful characters.
(Great choice of music with Radio Ga Ga too <3)
