Not all of these have been confirmed for 2015 yet and could end up releasing in 2016 or whatever, however I'll put them here for now and will edit them later if needed. I'm also moving a couple over from my 2014 list (like MGSV) which are looking more like 2015 titles now as well. I expect we'll be adding a few more after E3 too :D (3 more days!)

30 minutes of glorious MGSV gameplay right guys:

dat animation...

Twas very nice of Kojima for letting us see this too (it was shown at E3 to just 600-800 people). Hopefully CDPR will be kind and follow with their closed door footage of TW3 too.

Mebbe a little wishful thinking by putting Silent Hills to (late) 2015 but I'll leave it on there until we know know otherwise. Afterall, we don't know how long they've been working on it and MGSV shouldn't be far off now.
Nice to see so many exclusive PS4 titles among my most anticipated too I may add. As I said in the Gamescom thread last night, if one hasn't already bought a PS4 console before the end of this year then the beginning of 2015 will be a great time to do so. Sony doing a great job here with lots to look forward to :D

Hmmm...actually I might be interested in that if it's empire building. There's very few crime empire building games out there!

True, true. It reminds me a bit of The Godfather 2 game tbh. That didn't turn out very well I don't think, but the idea behind it was cool. If they pull it off it could still be one to watch though and I'd likely give it a try myself. Was just hoping for a true next-gen sequel to the Sleeping Dogs we know but I'll still hold out hope for that too heh.

lol. I think I'll be giving it a miss myself but I hope you enjoy it! :thumb:
Unlike game progression in previous titles, players advance through the story by completing activities to fill a "Satan's Wrath" meter, which unlocks cutscenes and further story elements.
Not sure I like the sound of that when it's only supposed to be 6-8hrs long. Heavy on the open world activities and light on the proper story missions I'm betting.

January for me will be probably consist of:
· Grand Theft Auto V PC
· Dying Light
· Resident Evil HD Remastered
· Grim Fandango: Remastered

Will get GTAV day one as the PS3 version was amazing and I cannot wait to replay it on my new rig with all of its improvements. May wait until I've finished with that (and some of the games in my backlog like Alien) before I buy some of the others though, but I plan to get them all at some point :)

So, we've got 2 games out next week and 4 for the week after.
  • Resident Evil HD Remaster (20th)
  • Saints Row: Gat out of Hell (20th/22nd)
  • Dying Light (27th Jan)
  • Grim Fandango: Remastered (27th Jan)
  • Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) Remastered (29th Jan)
  • Life Is Strange - Episode 1 (30th Jan)
(These look to be the main ones at least)

Which are you guys picking up?
Me? I've pre-purchased REmake HD & Life is Strange so I'll definitely be playing those. Will do the same for Fahrenheit & Grim Fandango when they become available on steam too.
Skipping Gat out of Hell like I did Borderlands the Pre-Sequel last year. Not much interest for that so will wait for the next big SR release. Hopefully it'll be current gen only.
Going to wait for reviews & impressions on Dying Light as I'm still a little unsure on that. If it's just Dead Island but with a few changes like the day & night cycle then I'll be giving it a miss most likely. - Digital release is still the 27th but retail has been slightly delayed in EU apparently.

btw, haven't seen much from SL33PY this month? hope all is ok? :)

It seems to be remaster after remaster atm lol. Still plenty of games I'd like to receive this kind of treatment though so I'm all for it :)

Homeworld Remastered is very very tempting...

Can't believe how long it's been since I was first playing the originals... I feel old!

Battlefield Hardline open beta will be running next week btw guys, Feb 3rd to 8th.
Any of you going to give it a try? :)

The last beta for it was admittedly very poor (the one they announced and launched at E3) and based on that alone this would be one of the first Battlefield titles I've purposefully skipped. That being said, given how they made the decision to delay the game based on the feedback from said beta in order to continue working on the MP experience I'm willing to give it another shot. It will have to have improved significantly since last summer in order for me to buy it but I guess we'll see next week. Hopefully it has.

The single player campaign on the other hand does still look rather promising with the approach they're taking with it but how many people buy Battlefield or CoD just for SP? heh.

Also:
First episode of this is out tomorrow :thumb:

Going to play Life is Strange tomorrow (Sat) methinks. The Walking Dead & The Wolf Among Us will admittedly be hard to follow given Telltale are really mastering that kinda style right now but LiS does look very promising, and the first ep has reviewed rather well too so I'm looking forward to checking that out :)

The Grim Fandango remaster has been most excellent too, it should be noted. One of the best adventure games I've played for sure.
Fantastic setting & story, colourful characters and really great humour & dialogue throughout. If you've never played it before (like me) or even if you have (and liked it) I'd definitely recommend picking it up and supporting its release. If it sells well for them we may see more releases like it.
Keep in mind ofc that it's a remaster, not a remake. Some people tend to get the two confused heh. The backgrounds haven't been remade or anything (like if you play FF7 or 8 for example) but due to its style, the new lighting system they've added along with the updated character models, it holds up extremely well I think. You can also switch between classic & remastered at the press of a button. There's new controls in there too so it doesn't play dated either, you can play it with a controller if you like, with a classic point & click interface or with the original tank controls. Extras include a lovely gallery of concept art, lots of ingame commentary and support for achievements & steam trading cards - Grim Fandango themed emoticons & profile backgrounds.

Well worth the asking price anyhow (which is only a tenner/$15). Very glad I bought it :thumb:

I think Grim Fandango HD has already made me happy enough to be a serious contender for my GOTY :)

Really glad you enjoyed it mate! Have thought it'd be up your alley for a long time!

Last day of Jan today.
For the Jan releases I've played the remasters of Resident Evil & Grim Fandango (both excellent!), going to play through episode 1 of Life is Strange later on today and then I'll probably move straight onto Fahrenheit HD too. Still skipping Gat out of Hell as the impressions I've read post release have made it sound terrible and I've decided to skip Dying Light as well as it appears to be exactly what I feared, a rebranded Dead Island but with parkour, day & night cycle and a crap story.

Onwards we go...
  • FEBRUARY GAME RELEASES
  • Game of Thrones: Episode 2 (3rd)
  • Grow Home (4th)
  • Cities XXL (5th)
  • Evolve (10th)
  • Total War: Attila (17th)
  • The Order: 1886 (20th)
  • Resident Evil: Revelations 2 - Episode 1 (24th/25th)
  • Homeworld Remastered Collection (25th)
  • Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty! (25th)
  • République Remastered [26th]
  • Blackhole (27th)
The Order: 1886 will be a day one buy for me for sure, really excited for that. Other than that though?. Episode 2 of Game of Thrones will be on the play list as I pre-purchased the season during the Christmas sales so will get that automatically (still need to play episode 1 mind). I may get Grow Home as well but not sure yet. Think that's probably about it for me but will give me chance to continue on with my backlog again so tis all good!. March will be busy too :)

(and yep, Anny. I'm not sure how far up my list Grim Fandango will ultimately be by the end of the year with big releases such as The Witcher 3, The Phantom Pain & Uncharted 4 just to name but a few, but it will be somewhere in my top list I'm sure!)
