I think my computer can run it. What do you guys think? It's a quad 8300 2.5ghz with 6 gigs of ram. It has a ATI Radeon 3600 HD graphics card.

Possibly. You might have to turn down some of the settings but its worth a shot.

I downloaded it and tried it out and my joy stick doesn't want to work very well with it for some reason. I changed a bunch of stuff around in the controls screen, but it is almost impossible for me to actually get a target in my sights to shoot. There is a huge dead zone in the center and it moves really slow when I try to aim up or down. Is it like that for any of you guys?

I'll be honest. I've never used a joystick in my life for Mechwarrior and not even for, gasp, Freespace. Mouse and Keyboard for me.

I'm still really sad. And I have my old SideWinder Precision Pro which I would love to use but it needs a serial port and I only have USB. ;(

Rock, I used an adapter on my old Logictech from our MW3/4 days and it worked fine. Give it a shot and see what happens. I couldn't tell a difference between using it and not using it.
