I know we had this discussion 6-7 months ago and we voted against people being aloud sig pics on the forums or at least having an option or something for us to decide if we want to display peoples sig images or not.
My question is, since we voted against sig images and we dont actually have the option to enable/disable viewing them still, is there a way we can make it so people can't put an image there at all?
We're forever getting new people to the forums and just this past week i've had to ask two people to remove their sig images. Obviously if they're new to the forum they're not gonna know that we voted against them 6months ago. If we somehow disabled the sig image option so they couldn't put an image there in the first place it would certanly save time in us having to keep asking people to remove them and having to enforce the rule we have. Not that i mind having to ask people to remove their sigs but if they couldn't put an image there in the first place we wouldn't have to ask them all all.
btw - Would have probably been best to post this in the members forum rather than general, but couldn't since it wouldn't let me lol.

Thats basically what i meant. Make it so its not possible to put an image there at all.

eh.. not be offensive or anything but that is what your gonna have to deal with as a mod an all. And although the vote itself reflected a no vote, the conversation during the vote reflected something else entirely.

I know what kind of issues a mod has to deal with, you don't have to tell me that...
As i've already said in my previous post, i don't mind having to ask people to remove their sig images, i was simply seeing if there was an option or something to disable them altogether. Something wrong with that?

The plan was to code in the profile option as to "View sigpics - Yes/No". But as Quiz said, that hasn't been done.
Until that happens, it would be very useful to remove the [img] tag from the signatures.
Either Zephir or Fahd. We should dig those people up.

As for my comment about not being offensive, people often take what I say as offensive, so I made a disclaimer. :shrugs:

Bottom line, we should get someone to disable the img tag until the option is coded into the profiles.
The vote was a 17:9 for a "No sigpics", so we should try to honor that.
