Group Information

The year is 2367. Thirty-two years have passed since the Great War in which the only jump node to Sol was collapsed, isolating Earth from the Galactic Terran-Vasudan Alliance. As the Terrans and Vasudans struggle to rebuild their civilizations, civil war erupts in the Polaris system. A rogue Terran admiral declares war against the Vasudans, and his rebellion threatens the stability of the Alliance. Without warning, the Shivans return, and the GTVA launches a crusade to eliminate their Great War nemesis. Once again, the Alliance must crush the Shivan onslaught or face annihilation.

How to Join the Shattered Star Exiles

1) Post a message on the forums letting us know that you want to join. Then one of the moderators can agree to play with you to get to know you better. This is not a test of skill, it's just a game to let us get to know you.

2) It is recommended that you join our IRC channel (server: irc.maxgaming.net - port: 6667 - channel: #SSX) so that we can easily get in touch with you when we need to. For those of you without an IRC client you can use the free client that we have provided here: Free IRC Client. We also have a Teamspeak server that you can join (teamspeak.cleversheep.com:9767) to use it you will need to contact Inquisitor via a PM on the forums so that he can create you an account. You can grab the Teamspeak Client here

3) Put the "SSX-" tag in front of your pilot's name. You don't have to do this but it makes it easier for other members to recognise you in the lobby and ingame.

4) And most of all HAVE FUN!

NOTE: As PXO is currently down the only way to play Freespace 2 Multiplayer is to use FS2NetD. See the FS2NetD Guide for information on how to use it.
